History:

The United Church originally gathered as a Methodist Episcopal Church in 1846, and the first church building of the new congregation was erected that same year in Pinesbridge. The present church building on Wolfe Avenue was contructed in 1871. The church relinquished its Methodist-Episcopal connection in 1900 to become part of the Congregational Church, ultimately voting to become part of the U.C.C., which was formed in 1957 by the merger of the Congregational Christian Church and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. In 2007, we voted to terminate our relationship with the U.C.C., and became known as Beacon Falls Congregational Church.

 

Summer Hours:

During July and August our church secretary, Liza Whitehead, will hold the following office hours: Tuesday & Wednesday evenings from 6-9PM and Thursday from 9AM - 1PM. The deadline to submit bulletin announcements remains the same- Wednesdays at 5PM.
